Environmental Consultancy do it again!
Cornwall Environmental Consultants (CEC), the trading arm of Cornwall Wildlife Trust, are thrilled to retain both the international business standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for the sixth year running, establishing CEC as a market leader.
The team of ecologists and landscape architects demonstrated their commitment to delivering quality work and reducing their environmental footprint, and are close to becoming a carbon-neutral business.
Emma Barrow, Business and Marketing Manager for CEC said:
“These accreditations mean a lot to us. They set us apart from others who cannot demonstrate such high standards of work and commitment from staff. I always look for the ISO logo on products and services I use now because I know just how hard to achieve and meaningful they are.”
Director Phil Hills commented:
“We’re very proud of our customer service records – more than 90% of our customer feedback is overwhelmingly positive. Our staff embrace the need to deliver a quality service and will go the extra mile when it’s needed.”
ISO 9001 requires organisations to demonstrate that they do what they say they do and that they have a quality management system in place to ensure consistency and improvement, leading to greater levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
“Reducing our environmental impact is key to our ongoing success – we try to practice what we preach. We have compost bins for any food waste we produce and were astounded and delighted that we have diverted over half a ton of food waste going to landfill in just a year!”
ISO 14001 requires organisations to have an environmental policy and action plan to manage their impact on their environment. For both standards certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
