Cornwall Environmental Consultants (CEC) Ltd was established in 1992 by Cornwall Wildlife Trust as its trading arm – being a charity, the Trust could undertake limited trading, hence CEC was launched to fulfill the growing demand for its consultancy services.
CEC is now 23 years old and is one of the leading specialist consultancies in the South West. In 2001, our Landscape Architecture service was introduced and this enabled CEC the unique opportunity to offer clients both ecological services and landscape architecture design, assessment and planning all under one roof.
We have a large and varied client list ranging from utility companies to statutory organisations such as Natural England and the Environment Agency, as well as local authorities, architects, developers and individual land and property owners. Client satisfaction is illustrated on our testimonials page.
CEC is a registered practice with the Landscape Institute. We are also a member of the Association of Wildlife Trust Consultancies (AWTC) and an associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) through the AWTC.
Cornwall Environmental Consultants ecologists and landscape architects are qualified to postgraduate or postdoctoral level and are members of their respective professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and the Landscape Institute (LI).
