BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes
BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) assessments are used to measure the sustainability of development schemes. Part of the BREEAM and CfSH assessment process relates to ecology and land use.
Cornwall Environmental Consultants ecologists are suitably qualified under the Building Research Establishment (BRE) criteria, and this means that we are able to advise you on maximising land use & ecology credits for your BREEAM or CfSH assessment. Commissioning an Ecology Report from one of our ecologists will help you to gain credits. We can often prepare a single report to cover your planning needs as well as BREEAM and CfSH, helping you to keep costs down.
Preparing our maps using GIS, we are able to extract data from pre and post development layouts to carry out the ‘species change’ calculations required for some credits.
Working alongside our in-house landscape architecture team, we can offer you a unique service, because our landscape architects can prepare a soft landscaping scheme for your BREEAM/CfSH project in close consultation with our ecologists to maximise your credits in a cost efficient manner.
